| What a nice goodbye to football for “Mr. George”! George Weah’s jubilee took place this Saturday in the Stade Vélodrome of Marseille. A glittering array of stars (Shevchenko, Zidane, Eto'o, Ginola, Guérin, Le Guen, Lama, Desailly, Michalak, Mouss Diouf...) played a very offensive match since George Weah’s Friends Team beat an international selection….9-8.
During the half time, I managed to give a good football show that George Weah and his friends enjoyed a lot. The 1995 Golden ball distinguished himself by scoring a beautiful hat trick, before being substituted during the second period by his son, George Weah Jr, who scored twice at the end of the match. That is to say 5 goals for the Weah family. The Liberian can now dedicate himself to politics; he will run for president of his country, on coming October 11th.
